Hope the draft is going well for each of you! The activity of it has been great, keep it up!
My reason for this announcement was brought to my mind by Darla. A trade recently went through (Tigers/Braves) that many owners thought shouldn't have. Unforutnately, since the 6th approve was cast shortly before the 4th and 5th vetoes, it went through. To solve this problem. I'm suggesting a wider approve/veto system. There will be a poll with different options, but here's my take.
Each trade would need 9 approves to pass (almost 2 divisions worth), and 5 vetoes (a whole division) to be cancelled. The voting period would remain the same (48 hours before a deal goes through), but it would be a sufficient amount of time with the expanded approve/veto system. This would help with the amount of scrutiny of each deal. To ensure fairness throughout the league, I find that this would be an important rule to add on. So, in summary.
*Approves increase from 6 to 9
*Vetoes increase from 4 to 5
*Time limit remains the same
If anyone else has any other suggestions I'm open to them!
A few announcements, reminds, etc.
1. There will be an important announcement regarding the leadership of Base Knock Dynasty Baseball soon.
2. Continue to be on for the drafts! It does frustrate owners sometimes when teams take their whole 12 hours.
3. I will be continuing to create the official rosters. The rosters will not be updated after the Orioles/Royals deal (the reyes/moustakas trade) until all the rosters are done. Then it will all be updated. I apologize for not completing this sooner.
4. Please, if you haven't checked it yet, go to one post before this one in the announcements section and look at the "Roster Limit" post. Some teams were having some confusion on this rule.
5. Finally, a few teams haven't logged on in a while. Hopefully we won't have more than 2 teams leaving. We have a waiting list of two at the moment.
