Rockies confirm. This deal just kept growing. My goal was to move Mikolas for a high draft pick plus prospect I liked (2nd and Pereira). It frees up money to hopefully replace him this off-season. JD wasn’t a tag for me, so I got a young catcher in Mitchell… risky but we’ll see… and a mid round pick for him. Kiermaier for three late round picks was more than I was hoping for for him. Altogether I liked the return and am glad to have a fuller slew of picks headed into the off-season.

Reds Accept. Mikolas is a huge reinforcement for the rotation and adds another start or two per week. JD Martinez also takes care of the UTIL spot that has been a revolving door all season. It is tough to part with so many future players and assets, but with the playoffs looming, I felt like it was a good time to try and take a win-now approach to give this team the best chance to win!
