A question is looming around whether if this half year on fantrax should be deemed official, as in the inaugural year of the league itself.
Above is a simple poll where you can vote to what you think on this, and if you want, please leave your opinion below on the subject matter.
Thank you, Astros

Well, yes and no I guess, but more no.
I mean, it's not like the league has a prize anyway haha (except for internal pride ;( ). I wouldn't care if the statistics or standings were even kept.
Should it be noted as our first season? I don't think so. I'm treating this more or less like a trial run, not the real deal.

Yes, it should be, unless you have a good reason why not? It will bring more competition and that means more activity!!

I dig ya Tigers, which is why it should kinda count. Reasons why it shouldn't fully count include:
-It's not a full season -We don't know if the scoring is totally correct -We're not using ESPN
The latter two aren't great arguements, but you can't boot the first.

Yeah but then it's only a test run which is boring, don't you want it to be competitive.

Haha you're not totally listening. I said it should count, but not as much as a full season, if that makes sense.

Well I say yes simply because all the guys with 1 year deals (this year) will not get to work for their teams... so I think that was a waste of time, also for guys like me who acquired guys with expiring contracts in anticipation that they could help me down the stretch.

Also, HOW ELSE WOULD WE DECIDE NEXT YEAR'S DRAFT ORDER?

and for all who say no, I want to hear some good reasons first. I've seen the people who say yes post good reasons. People who have said no haven't given any legitament reasons yet.

It really doesn't matter to me one way or the other....I myself am short guys and am not gonna sell the boat to win a 2 month season...but if it keeps people more active then yes..... not sure what the big deal about it is....about the best argument for it is draft order like Mike pointed out

@ Mike, I think I was the only nay-sayer (and I was kinda half-and-half)...I think everyone wants it to count.
I just have a similar attitude as Darla. Maybe cuz I'm rebuilding, but I'm not treating it 100% the same. Nevertheless it should count.

I want the season to count (I voted yes), but one great reason why it shouldn't is that a lot of guys have been building for next year and don't even have full rosters.

Well I can respond to that saying that this year won't effect them being able to compete next year. In fact, it will be beneficial to those people as they will probably get the high draft picks next year, which they can then trade for talent that can help them even more next year. So I think this can benefit everyone.

I say yes. A number of owners have build their teams for succes in this season. This should not be in vain. Others have stocked on Specs to build a future Dynasty. Just as it is in real life.It gives it a realistic feel to the game.
