Chicago White Sox agree to the following terms, we trade:
-Zach Wheeler (prospect) 13) .3M - Arodys Vizcaino RHP 13) .5M
For Tigers
-Roy Halladay 13) 16.5M (Tigers agree to pay 3.5 on ONE year of his contract) - Brayan Villareal 13) .4M
I think Villareal is going to be the face of the Tigers bullpen in a few years, and he has only one year under his belt and WHOA he is good. I am also hoping for a bounce back year from Halladay so I needed a break on year 1 of his large contract. Like I said before I can be willing to trade prospects for guys that help me now. Good working with you Tigers good negotiations I think we both got what we wanted and I look forward to a tight matchup this year in the AL Central and I think it'll be close, I'm working together some good guys, hit me up you want to make more deals.
Chicago South Siders, Mr. Meder

I accept. Kind of a confusing deal, but I see it this way. Halladay is 35, hit a real big down-turn last year and although i'm confident he'll rebound, I think we can all agree he is on the end of his career. Villareal's solid, but I think Rondon has the closer job, and I think Vizcaino has more potential. But the real prize here is Wheeler, who I have a man-crush on. I've been trying to get him from the Sox organization for about a year now, and I think he's a future ace. This is just another step to forming a prospect empire.

Veto....(3-1)....Wheeler should be up this year. Why wouldn't you keep a top 10-15 prospect on the verge of making his major league debut, over a 35 year that's starting to show the wear and tear of a long baseball career? The reason Jacob has been trying unsuccessfully for a year to get Wheeler from CHW, is because the old owner recognized the upside of Wheeler vastly outweighs Halladay even if he "bounces back".

Great for Jacob, not veto-able in my eyes. Halladay could pitch like an ace.
