Gonna pass on this one, Skagg's K's have dropped as he got to the high minors and hit rates have increased. He's really going to need to control the fly balls if he's going to have any success in the majors, especially in Citi Field. He's considered as one of the most MLB ready SP's in the minors but his showing in ARI last season tells me he isn't ready yet. Shields is a fantastic starting pitcher, and is relatively cheap in this league at 9mil/12mil. David Hernandez is also a fantastic reliever and will no doubt be Arionas closer very very soon with Putz being 36 and is also under contract for cheap/the next 3 years.
(1-1)

Veto. Not enough for a top 10 pitcher in this league. Skaggs hasn't gotten better recently, and David Hernandez is another nice chip. You'll have to give up more Noah.
(1-2)

It doesn't show that a pick was traded.

This year has a pretty weak draft class, pick number #31 could be a huge who knows.

Veto. Shields is a proven pitcher and a solid #2. Hernandez is a very good setup guy who will step in for saves when Putz gets hurt.
An unproven prospect and a draft pick at the end of the 1st isn't close to enough in my opinion. Skaggs upside if all breaks right... Maybe Shields? Probably less

Thanks Austin!
I won't veto much but you have two above average players for a hopeful and a 2nd rd pick. I think the gap needs to be closed a bit.
Veto

Probably less 3.51 ERA, great pitcher. 4 saves for Hernandez last season. Skaggs has ace potential, Trout was a late first rounder...

Way to cherry pick random stat lines. How about these:
8.8 K/9. 1.17 WHIP. 3.8K/BB.
#15 on ESPN player rater, between Bumgarner and Sabathia and ahead of Strasburg, Greinke, and Cliff Lee.
553 pts scored in our league last season. 5 pts less than Buster Posey and 2 points less than Cargo. 6 pts less than King Felix.
Yup he's pretty damn good.
Oh yeah, if you're so high on 1st rounders, Luke Hochevar is available.
