Diamandbacks trade:
OF Reymond Fuentes ($300k)
P Tyler Thornburg ($300k)
SS Chris Owings ($300k)
OF Hunter Renfroe ($300k)
SS Joe Panik ($300k)
The $35M price tag on Votto is going to be expensive, and I got holes to fill. Verlander had an "off" year (if you want to call it that), and his contract expires after 2014, but he's still a heck of a talent and the D'Backs acquire a Top 10 arm.
I open up some cap space to fill other needs in free agency, hopefully get some production from a few of these guys next year, and if nothing else, restock my pitiful farm system.
