Blue Jays confirm. I am super excited to finally get some point scoring material on my team! Yes, the contracts are large and I am not recieveing that much coverage, I am giving up three prospects ranked 81st 83rd and 84th and a solid spec who could make his debut this year, and a good young player in Fry. I am tottaly ok with that because I am recieveing a tremendous power hitter, and one of the best starters, in the business. If I a not pleased with how this turned out I can always flip for picks and prospects. Good dealing Phil, it was fun Best of luck.

BIG TRADE! Nice job fellas. I think it's a solid deal where both teams get what they're looking for right now. Approve.

Approve. The Mariners lose here though. If you pieced these players out separately I think you could have got more of a return.

Veto - I get wanting to move salaries and using established assets to rebuild for the future, but this deal moves an elite power hitter and an excellent SP and gets pretty much nothing in return. None of these prospects project to be much of anything in the majors, if they even reach the majors. Gotta get something in return when moving pieces of the talent level going here. This is like a straight up purchase of Encarnacion and Felix.

Approve. While I think the Mariners could have worked harder to compete this year, I think the deal is fair. There are 3 former 1st round picks coming back and another prospect in Kingham who is close to contributing (as are both Cecchini and McKinney). This gives the Blue Jays something to do this year and next year, and the Mariners can build their team the way they would like to.

Veto
These are not long term contracts that will become burdens in a few years. It's a one year deal and a two year deal, and with our tagging system these guys actually have a TON of value because they can be kept for a short amount of time. Not to mention our extremely high salary cap that makes a $30-35M salary for an elite player not totally ridiculous. The prospects coming back are NOT impact guys. Cecchini, Randolph, and McKinney can all be found in the 80-120 range of lists and are all 2+ years away. One of them making it to the bigs and becoming a good player is optimistic thinking; these are the exact type of prospects who can flame out quickly. Nick Kingham did flame out after TJ a couple years ago and has no clear path to the bigs right now. Jace Fry isn't horrible, but he is also still out with TJ of his own (likely until 2017). This is an easy veto for me. For one of these guys, MAYBE I buy it. But for both? Not a chance.

I'm going to add another veto to this, simply out of my hope that Seattle could get more for two cornerstone pieces of their franchise. Encarnacion had 600+ points last season, while Hernandez added over 500. Taking my rounding away, it's close to 1,200 points being sent away. Yes, they're both on large contracts, that have relatively short deals, but this league makes it very easy to re-sign your star players.
I think it's always wise, when dealing away multiple big pieces, to split them up in separate deals. It becomes difficult to judge how much you're really getting for the combined players value. Both Encarnacion and Hernandez are elite players at their positions and deserve trades that value them as such. I'd like to see Seattle get a package like this for one of the players... granted, perhaps take away one of the mid-level guys, but not both for a package like this. Apologies for the veto guys, just looking for the best trade for the market of the league.
Veto. (4-3)

Veto, I would probably approve 1 of the top tiered players for these gr8 prospects but I can't approve 2 top players for these prospects.
