Saying goodbye to the farm, including 3 former 1st Round picks, and my prudent Hyun Soo Kim investment to get back one of the best hitters in the league. I need players who are doing it now, and with one more pre-arb year left for Kris Bryant, I feel good about how it will allow me to build around him into the coming seasons. Howie Kendrick helps refresh my injury-depleted lineup just in time for the playoffs.

Obviously tough to deal Bryant, who in my opinion is top 3 in terms of value if not number 1 in the league. That being said, for as bad as my team is, the farm isn't all that great either. It's not bare, but not exactly loaded either. I have some pitchers coming up, but am lacking a lot of offensive talent. I really like Gallo and Buxton, but the ability to grab a guy who is producing now in Kim was big for me as well. Knapp, Nunez, and Daz are also guy i really like. Knapp i think can be my eventualy catcher. I love Daz's game and even if it takes awhile think he will be an impact player. Nunez is another guy i like who i think gets some time next year, or maybe even this year.
