Cubs receive:
Joc Pederson, yr 3 $0.8M
Brewers receive:
Aaron Sanchez, yr 3 $0.8M Cubs 3rd round pick Cubs 6th round pick
I was in the market for an SP and the Cubs were looking for an OF.
Nice dealing Tanner.

Cubs confirm. It is tough to give up Sanchez but I really like Joc Pederson. Pederson fills the last hole that I need in a third outfielder to compliment Werth and Granderson.

Veto- didn't think picks were necessary on the deal- the players were an even exchange in my opinion

Veto, I'm with Nationals. I think Sanchez for Pederson straight up favors who got Sanchez, yet alone a few picks on top of it. Talking about an all star last year. Yes, Joc had 25 bombs. But only batted .241 with 130ks, and 68 RBIs. Hasn't lived up to hype, and Sanchez has.

I'm going to abstain from voting because both these fellas are in my division, but cherry picking individual stats seems like a poor way to defend a veto. Why not just say Pederson had 416 pts in 2016 vs. Sanchez's 509 pts? The overall points is what matters - not how many strikeouts Pederson had - Chris Davis had 219 K's, .221 AVG, and only 1 SB, but still had 515 pts. Contracts matter, risk matters, position matters.

Veto, get rid of the draft picks and it's not vetoable in my opinion. If anything the Cubs should be receiving the draft picks.

Approve. Pitchers are inherently more risky than position players so I don't mind the picks being added. Also, both owners agreed to the deal, so I respect that

Will, I make all my decisions based on stats. Not what they may do in future, current stats. And if you don't, that's your business. But don't insinuate that how I value players is any better than how you do. I tried to go to ESPN and look up his total points, but I couldn't get in, so I looked at the stats instead.

Allow. It's a fantastic trade for the Brewers, they get a young high upside SP in Aaron Sanchez and get 2 picks for a young exciting OF in Joc Pederson. (3-3)

approve, the Brewers do easily win the trade like Das said. but i really like what Jared said both agreed to it and the Cubs acknowledged that this is the last big piece they needed to acquire since they are in win now mode a little overpay makes sense to lock up the final piece for them to contend in an already brutal division (4-3)

Approve. I agree with Jared as well. Pederson is still only 24 with a lot of room for improvement and while Sanchez is looking pretty awesome, pitchers have way more injury risk. A 6th rounder is not all that much to give and the 3rd may be more than necessary but not a veto in my book.

Approve. While the picks are not necessary, both teams agreed to the trade and it is not a "rip off" by any means.

I approve. How does this deal look like a veto to anybody? You shouldnt vote on whether you'd make the trade or not. 2 owners agreed and it doesn't shift the balance of the league at all. It barely tilts it!

I'm going to put this one through with an approve (9-3). Sure, the picks seem unnecessary, but they're not enough to make me think this is deal is detrimental to the league. Both teams get pieces that they were looking for... the Brewers just got a couple of extra ones. Between, Chicago, Milwaukee, Houston, and Cincinnati, this division is going to be terrific. Best of luck to you all!
