Hey guys!
Wow, feels like forever since we've done anything. No longer! Here's the schedule for this off-season along with decisions on things we've been discussing this summer/fall. Please vote for your team on the activity check so we can make sure we have a full league by the end of November. Looking forward to the 2021 season!
Contract Rule Update:
Teams will be allowed to advance ONE contract of a NON-Pre-ARB/NON-PROSPECT player. It does not need to be a contract that would have expired this off-season. This needs to be posted in a comment on this thread by the end of November. It has to be an already set contract. This will take place being teams signed players to contracts assuming they would get the 2020 season of value. We want to keep contracts the same for the most part, but here is a small benefit teams will get that can help with, for example, an older player's contract you don't want to be tied to for as long. You will get to keep any cash received on a player's contract even if you advance him, just like if you traded that player. After further thinking about it, Option A and Option B contracts can also be included in this as well.
Things Different This Off-season:

Things we still need to address before the start of next season:
Thanks!

Things Different This Off-season:
- no roster decisions, all contracts move forward except your choice to advance one contract (see rule above)
- no franchise tags/restriction tags/etc. for this off-season.
- - limited free agency. Free Agency will only include any unowned players who are not prospects, players who have had their contracts advanced to become free agents, and any new international free agents.
- both an Amateur and MiLB Draft this off-season, be ready to draft a lot.
Off-season Schedule:
- Nov 24 - Final day to decide to advance a contract
- Nov 24 - Trading Opens
- Dec 1 - Start of the 2020 Amateur Draft (drafting recently drafted high school/college players & unowned prospects)
- Jan 2 - Start of Free Agency
- Feb 15 - Start of MiLB Draft
- Apr 1 - Start of 2021 Season
- June 2021... BK Conference
Things we still need to address before the start of next season:
- League Scoring. There was some momentum to move to Fantrax in the spring. We need to decide if we'll stick with ESPN or move to Fantrax for 2021 (note, remember we voted to move Houston to the AL)
- Drafts. There was discussion about combining drafts, shortening drafts, among other discussions. What are we doing for a draft beyond this year?
- Other concerns?
Thanks!
