Something very important to me just came up, and riding the high of my last proposal to remove Manfred, I want to use my influence for good once again and officially rename the BK Official Roster Sheet for the Washington Nationals from WSH to WAS. Rather than simply ask Alex like a normal person, I want to do this poll to keep people from researching their upcoming draft picks.
The procedure for abbreviating should be as simple as possible, and the simplest approach without adding more rules is as follows:

- If the location is one word or already has an abbreviation, and doesn't share a city/first three letters with another team(Chicago Cubs/White Sox), it should just be the first three letters (Washington = WAS, Montreal = MON, St. Louis = STL)
- If the location is one word and does share a city/first three letters with another team, use the first two letters of the location and the first letter of the mascot (CHC, CHW)
- If the location name is two words, then use the first letter of each of the words in the location and mascot (LAA, LAD, SFG, NYM, NYY, TBR, SDP, etc.)
