Diamondbacks agree to trade:
Stiven Cruz, P, MIL Spec
Ramon Peralta, SS, SFG Spec
5th Round 2023 Draft Pick
To the Phillies in exchange for:
Wil Meyers, 1B/OF, CIN 2023: 6.9M
75% cap coverage in 2023
CHW 10th Round 2023 Draft Pick
Once again trying to reshape my team. Adding Meyers gives me a better option at 1B and some position flexibility. Good talks Zach!

approve. I was thinking… should really buy low on Myers before he gets to Cincinnati. Good move.

Allow. Stiven Cruz, could be a team top 30 prospect in one of the prospect rankings based off MiLB stats, comparing his highlights and mechanics from this past season and the previous season I see him as maybe a MLB RP, he pitches well to over matched hitters but his body control hasn't developed yet, his fastball is going to need to develop shape in the higher levels, the curve ball looks average but could develop into an above average pitch. I've dismissed Ramon Peralta as anything other than organizational depth and not surprised that he hasn't performed well based off his scouting video when he signed, his body movements weren't fluid and that swing has lots of room for development or maybe his bat was too heavy, he moved like he was sore which isn't a good look in a scouting video.
I see this as a bad to pointless trade for the Phillies, they aren't even gaining a draft pick and a savvy trade by the Diamondbacks.

A simple “allow” would’ve sufficed. 😅 Allow.
