When will Rosenthal be doing the Power Rankings again?
Hi guys
KR is BACK.
Let's go.
I've been waiting for this
It's been a great 2023 season
Who will win it all?
The Mariners again?
Another undefeated team so far (WAS)?
A mystery team?
This league is the best
This is fun
Here's the power rankings
Week 11 Power Rankings - Star Wars Movie/Shows Theme
"The Original Trilogy" Tier
1. (1) Mariners 11-0 – You can't top the original trilogy. I guess we've just accepted Phil will dominate until eternity. Big win against Chicago. Feel like we're headed towards our second undefeated team ever... along with our first three-peat. Team Jedi: Wander Franco (305.5 pts)
"The Prequels" Tier
2. (2) Nationals 11-0 – The prequels are great, especially the third movie IMHO. Nearly a 300 point win against the Pirates. Max's response to such a loss? "Someone please trade for my good players." Where's the pride in this league? Nationals are rolling. Could we get two 19-0 teams facing off in the World Series? Team Jedi: Freddie Freeman (354.5 pts)
3. (4) Blue Jays 9-2 – Blue Jays have been magnificent. But feels like they're a big swing trade away... Baltimore/Chicago have been aggressive. Team Jedi: Josh Jung (254.5 pts)
4. (3) White Sox 8-3 – Not even the red-hot White Sox could take down Seattle. Seattle/Chicago/Baltimore/Toronto. The top of the AL is TOUGH. Team Jedi: Randy Arozarena (277.5 pts)
5. (6) Orioles 8-3 – In the most predictable trade ever, Mike traded away depth for two stars. It was a great trade for the O's, but that doesn't make it any less predictable. Feels like Baltimore actually has a good shot to win it all this year. Team Jedi: Corbin Carroll (346.5 pts)
"The Mandalorian" Tier
6. (7) Giants 8-3 – Clutch comeback win over the Cardinals, who sent their two best players packing during the matchup. Mandalorian is great, but the Giants still need pitching to get up into the original six star wars movies level tier. Team Jedi: Juan Soto (269 pts)
7. (8) Tigers 9-2 – Detroit keeps on rolling. They clearly need a big add to be considered an elite squad, but the Tigers are cruising to a playoff birth. Team Jedi: Brandon Nimmo (234 pts)
8. (5) Cubs 9-2 – Disappointing week against the Rockies... less than 250 points. The good news? Their main division challenger called it quits on the season. Congrats on the NL Central, Tanner! Team Jedi: Jose Ramirez (290 pts)
"Obi-Wan Kenobi" Tier
9. (10) Guardians 8-3 – Guardians trying to keep pace with Detroit. They did so with a big win against Houston. Thomas will shop Blaine Crim til he's blue in the face trying to improve this team. Team Jedi: Jonathan India (295.5 pts)
10. (9) Diamondbacks 8-3 – This team is probably the 4 seed after recent trades... and could win the division if the Giants don't get their act together. Who would've thought? Team Jedi: Spencer Steer (262 pts)
"Andor" Tier (Heard it's incredible.. haven't seen it yet)
11. (13) Dodgers 7-4 – The Dodgers stormed back on Sunday to get a massive win over the Reds. Just six starts though. Need to see their willingness to add pitching before buying any serious playoff stock. Team Jedi: Paul Goldschmidt (284 pts)
12. (12) Astros 7-4 – A disappointing loss to Cleveland drops Houston to 7-4. Do the Astros have a move or two left in them to get back into the playoff six? Team Jedi: Mookie Betts (314.5 pts)
13. (14) Reds 6-5 – Another tough loss for Cincinnati has them near .500. They really should've beaten the Dodgers... who outscored them by 50 on the last day in a 24 points win. Team Jedi: Bobby Witt Jr. (268 pts)
14. (11) Cardinals 7-4 – The Cardinals traded away Rafael Devers and Corey Seager. In the same trade. I hope it works out for them. Team Jedi: Jorge Soler (278.5 pts)
"Recent Triology" Tier
15. (16) Rockies 6-5 – Well, that was a win. Rockies might mess around and get in the playoff hunt here, especially with the uncertainty in the current 5-7 seeds. Team Jedi: Josh Lowe (252.5 pts)
16. (15) Angels 6-5 – So this is how liberty dies. With thunderous applause. Team Jedi: Ronald Acuna Jr. (417 pts)
17. (19) Marlins 5-6 – The Marlins win again. I suppose it's time to keep an eye on Travis? Team Jedi: Christian Walker (274.5 pts)
18. (17) Padres 4-7 – They aren't selling... but they aren't scoring either. Pete Alonso is also now out until the all-star break. So.... Team Jedi: Pete Alonso (275 pts)
19. (20) Rangers 4-7 – So... Ahmed scored nearly 300 points. Maybe they'll end up finishing closer to .500 than we thought after all those trades. Team Jedi: Gleyber Torres (241.5 pts)
"Everything Else Star Wars Has Every Made" Tier
20. (18) Rays 5-6 – Losses to the Pirates and Athletics in the last two weeks. THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE! Team Jedi: Kyle Tucker (269 pts)
21. (21) Brewers 3-8 – I trust the Brewers that they're building something sustainable, but two years of meh baseball in Milwaukee after so much success is a bummer. Team Jedi: Ozzie Albies (286.5 pts)
22. (21) Braves 3-8 – Atlanta put a scare into Arizona, but they lost again. And then they traded away their controllable starting catcher. Is this a sign of a full rebuild for once? Team Jedi: Christian Yelich (269 pts)
23. (22) Mets 3-8 – We know winning will happen here someday... just wake me up when the Mets get there. Team Jedi: Masataka Yoshida (245 pts)
24. (26) Athletics 3-8 – Two wins in a row. What is going on in Oakland? Is this some MLB energy spilling into BK? Team Jedi: Francisco Lindor (258 pts)
"Star Trek" Tier
25. (24) Royals 3-8 – Star Trek doesn't compare to Star Wars. That's how I feel about these teams. Team Jedi: Marcus Semien (321 pts) .... why is he still on this team?
28. (27) Red Sox 2-9 – Team Jedi: Shohei Ohtani (way more points than your best player)... why is he still on this team?
26. (25) Twins 1-10 – Team Jedi: Salvador Perez (218.5 pts)... surely some contender needs a catcher upgrade.
27. (28) Pirates 1-10 – LUIS ROBERT AND NICK CASTELLANOS ARE AVAILABLE.
29. (29) Yankees 0-11 – I think real Yankees fans would've burned down Yankee Stadium if this was their team. Team Jedi: Luis Arraez (219.5 pts)... if only this was a league where a high batting average and nothing else meant something.
30. (30) Phillies 0-11 – LOSE FOR CREWS. There's probably something left to trade for here.... I'm on tab 9 of the top points leaders... haven't found anyone so I'm calling it quits.
