--NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Since 2015 Das has managed the San Francisco Giants franchise in BKDB. This past week, Das stepped down as General Manager of the San Francisco Giants. Das carried a record of 98-67 between both teams. Over his eight seasons, Das finished with a record of 107-45. He was the first to finish a season with a perfect record at 19-0 in 2021. He brought the Giants to six straight playoff appearances from 2017-2023, including four division titles. The Giants made the NLCS once (2017) and the World Series once (2021) in that span, never capturing a World Series title. It goes without saying... Das is arguably the best GM in 12 year history of Base Knock Dynasty Baseball. His prospect knowledge was revered (everyone loved to get a "like" on their draft pick by him). His regular season success nearly unmatched. A sense of dread came over teams when they had to play him. The whole league was grateful to peak behind the curtain and hear Das's strategies during this past season's podcasts. Everyone would agree: Das will be missed.
In his place comes new GM of the San Francisco Giants, Casey Garner. Garner comes with years of experience running his own league and numerous other fantasy baseball teams. He will certainly not be jumping in at a low pressure time in the history of the Giants. San Francisco is coming off six straight 14+ win seasons. They also play in likely the hardest division in the league in the last few years.
Garner will get to work with some star power with Aaron Judge, Vladdy Jr, Mookie Betts, and Juan Soto all on the roster. Will he seek to build around Das's former building blocks or try to reshape it into something of his own? The league is looking forward to seeing the work. Casey has big shoes to fill!
Good luck to Giants GM (Casey) in your time in BKDB!
