Because I traded Cahill, I really needed to go get a SP. So, I have made a trade with the New York Mets.
The Orioles trade: The Phillies 3rd Round Pick in the 2012 Amateur Draft The Orioles' 6th Round Pick in the 2012 Amateur Draft SP Brad Meyers (WAS): '12-'16: $2.5M SP Daniel Rosenbaum (WAS): '12-'13: $2.5M 2B Kolten Wong (STL): '12-'14: $300k OF Jai Miller (OAK): '12-'13: $2M OF Kosuke Fukudome (FA): $0
The Mets trade: SP Randall Delgado (ATL): '12-'14: $300k
I need to replace Cahill in my rotation. The Mets are in it for the long haul, but they wanted to add some pieces to an already strong farm system. They felt that adding these pieces will benefit their team more as a whole.
As a side note: The Mets will be using their franchise tag on Fukudome, so they will be keeping him. Not just me sending FAs that will be lost.

From as far as I know, you cannot trade tags, at all. And if you were going to wait to tag him, you would have to wait until december when tags are official.
On retrospect, I know you need a pitcher Mike, this is just absurd to give up for 1 guy.
VETO
I've changed my vote. Even though it IS an overpay on Mike's part, he want him badly. So approve

This trade is absurd. Randall Delgado is a top prospect and young, with good stats, BUT is not worth that much.
This one is an easy Veto for me.

Well I didn't trade a tag. Thought we could trade "rights" to free agents, since technically they're still ours.

Mike, you're fine. Guys, he's not dealing a tag. Just saying mets has the right to tag him.

Approve, though I think the Fukudome part is a bit strange.

Considering that I traded Delgado as the MAIN piece to get one of the best third basemen in the league in David Wright. This is a veto. It's pretty much a 3rd, Wong, and Meyers for him. Bad quantity for quality. Delgado is a top prospect and he's not even getting one top 100 back, or a good MLB player. Veto.

Yes you can sorry. The slew of underperforming prospects and the draft pick dont even come close to being what Delgado is worth. At least give the Mets someone thats in the top 100 and isnt a ridiculously expensive minor leaguer.

But delgado IS top 100. So essentially its top 100 for top 100. The point here was quality for quantity, and Wong is a solid spect. Not to metion, Rosenbaum and Meyers are both decent spects. Miller has potential, and fukudome is goin to be a startin outfielder for him. He got solid quality considering quantity was what he was after.

I'm confused...I realized Delgado is top 100. You dont have anyone that you are giving him that is top 100. Wong is mid tier, Rosenbaum and Meyers are two super expensive prospects that you signed who probably wont do much, and Jai Miller barely has any potential at all. The draft picks are nice like I said but Fukudome plus a bunch are mid tier minor leaguers isnt really worth Delgado. Maybe give him a couple first round picks instead and you will be closer at least

Approve. Wong, a great spect, along with some other decent pieces for Delgado seems alright to me.

Deal is cancelled. The 2 approves were AFTER the 48 hours and Berger still hasn't confirmed.
