This is so not in the spirit of the rules.

Noah, do you have a problem with Alex or mike? Outside of that I don't understand your statement.

Alex specifically designed a rule and passed it, after he did not like something that I did, and then he uses a loophole to get around the rule that he wrote. That is "not in the spirit of the rules" (something that has been used to cancel many of my deals in the past) and blatantly ridiculous for a commissioner to do something like this. That is one of the most hypocritical things I have seen to date.

Once again, why are we voting on trades that have not been accepted yet by the other team?

Sorry Jared, Mike accepted the previous deal, and it's basically the same trade, I texted him so he'll be on to accept it soon.

I deleted it when it was reposted. The trade wouldn't have worked because there were too many players involved, so that's why it was changed and worked into two different deals so that we could swap our players.

This league had a problem where teams (not just you) were making deals where one team would send a lot of players to another team for a player or two. The issue was that these trades were hard for some people to evaluate and properly vote on. So our Commish decided to enact a rule that prevented trades from being too complicated. Thus making them easier for voters to decided if they were fair or horribly unfair. In this particular instance the GMs involved saw their mistake and fixed it by splitting the trade into two different pieces that on an evaluation process are easier to evaluate. Granted they did this after you (Noah) pointed out their mistake. This is not against the spirit of the rule, in fact it is 100% the spirit of the rule. I'll leave you with this question, would you have a problem with this if it was two other GMs involved? For instance the Nationals and the Cards.

The actual trade is not what bothers me. I felt like the fact that Alex wrote the rule and that he found a way around it bothered me. If the Nationals and Cardinals made the deal, I wouldn't care. It is the fact that I am constantly chastised by both Alex and Mike for making quantity for quality deals, and then see them do it. I feel like the whole situation is hypocritical. Oh well. Whatever.
I'm abstaining my vote.

So, it is that you have a problem with Alex and Mike. At least you've taken yourself out of the voting process.

Noah, I know what you are saying, and it makes sense. The goal of the rule was to make trades easier to vote on by only allowing so many players per trade. It tough enough to evaluate a 1 for 1 trade much less an 8 for 1 trade. Sometimes you quantity for quality trades can work (see the real A's for that example) but some of the owners here are not as informed of minor leaguers and such like you are.
Anyway, if you think that either of the two trades are unfair or collusion, please veto them with your reasoning. That's why we have voting privileges.
I personally don't believe in vetoing any trade, if both owners agree and state their reasoning (we haven't had any collusion that I know of yet).

This is just created so we don't clog up trade posts with our own opinions when disagreements happen... or anything else like that. So discuss trades further here if you wish.
