FA breakdown.xlsx (10.81 KB) Attached I have a spreadsheet that breaks down each Team's spending throughout FA. I mainly focused on how many FA signed, how RFA were handled, the most expensive FA for each team, and how much Cap each team has after FA. FA signed: Obviously this stats varies per team since the available cap widely varied, however it at least gives you an idea of what certain teams strategies were. The Orioles signed the most FA with 24 players signed. Most of those players were on the cheap and have less projected production, but could help the team out if a few of them hit. Shockingly the White Sox had the least amount of FA signed with 0. RFA: There were a total of 44 matched RFA and 8 not matched RFA. That means that roughly 85% of the RFA were matched by their original team. This isn't an uncommon number as most years RFA go right back to which they came. There were only 2 teams that rejected both of the RFA they had. The Angels declined both because their limited cap space didn't allow them to accept either. The White Sox declined both despite having a very large amount of cap space available. Mets, Pirates, Reds, Rockies each declined 1 RFA. Cap Available: There are 4 teams (Blue Jays, Cubs, Giants, White Sox) with at least 50M in available cap space left. There are 3 teams (Cardinals, Mets, Rockies) with between 20-35M in cap space. Everyone else has under 20M to work with going forward. Basically this league was throwing money around like crazy and thus there are very few teams with cap flexibility going forward this season. Based on these numbers who do you think has had the best FA?

Shocker of the off-season... the Orioles signed the most players in free agency

I really like what a few teams did... Boston, New York, San Francisco, Colorado, Toronto (a rebuilding team locks up Abreu and Tomas... nice), Minnesota. A few others... Oakland too, but those are the ones that stood out to me the most.

You know how I do Alex, I don't build losers (or championship winners yet) .
