GM REQUIREMENTS & REMOVALS
The following is required of all owners that take part in Base Knock Dynasty Baseball.
#1 | ACTIVITY ON PROBOARDS FORUM - It's important to take part in league discussion, vote on new league changes, and fulfill your obligations when it comes to transactions. GM's don't have to be on the site every day, but if you're going to be gone for an extended period of time (a week or more), please let the rest of the league know in the "Extended Absences" board. You can set Fantrax lineups ahead of time, being out of down does not mean you can neglect your lineup during the season. Any league rule change requires more than half (16) of GM's to vote on a certain proposal, so your regular participation on the form is essential.
#2 | RESPONDING TO PERSONAL MESSAGES - It's important to keep communication open between all members of the league. BKDB doesn't want to be sending you emails, and you probably don't want them either, so just check and respond to your PM's/GroupMe message to keep in contact. It keeps the trade rumors flowing!
#3 | MANAGING FANTRAX ROSTER - This is essential to being a part of BKDB. You signed up to play fantasy baseball... so set your lineup to give your team the best chance to win. Having teams that don't set lineups makes it unfair to the rest of the league, who wants competitive games for everyone.
#4 | DISCORD ACTIVITY - All owners are recommended to get a Discord account and participate in the league discussion. It's a great way to quickly negotiate transactions, discuss league events, and talk sports!
#5 | NO COLLUSION - Run your own team.
#6 | $3 YEARLY FEE - There is a small, $2.95 fee every year to use Fantrax as a scoring website. It needs to be paid prior to Opening Day each year.
GM REMOVAL
A GM will be subject to removal if two of the following criteria are met:
1. Has not responded to any message sent to them on either Proboards AND Discord within 30 days of the message as a repeated action (has done this before). Screenshots of the message attempt must be provided by the messaging GM.
2. Has not set lineup in any rolling 14 day period. This does not include lineups that do not need setting. Is the team setting their lineup everyday and filling all their lineup slots they are able to... that is the question.
3. Has set their lineup in a manner that would be deemed as tanking. For example, leaving Aaron Judge on the bench while the OF slot remains empty.
4. Has been autopicked in 5 consecutive picks unless the GM has explicitly requested to be on autopick.
5. In the off-season... has not submitted their roster decisions in within two weeks of the announced deadline and fails to participate in free agency when doing so would be clearly advantageous to their team (a team is allowed to express their desire to save money, but no reason given + no spending = lack of effort).
If these criteria occur and a replacement GM has been found and is ready to step in, the GM will be removed.
Removal requests can be brought forth by any GM who identifies inactivity of another GM if it meets the above listed criteria.
GM's will receive a message from a committee member notifying them of their infraction and that future infractions will result in a vote by the league to remove. If no response is received within two weeks, the league will move forward with a removal vote.
For removal to occur, at least 50% of the league must vote in favor of removal. The committee and league will have discretion in using other relevant information when casting their vote.
A GM who is suspected of cheating does not need to meet the above listed criteria and will automatically be put up for a vote by the committee with the league. There must be clear evidence provided for there to be a league vote put up by the committee.
The committee will also vote to select the replacement owner with a simple majority vote. Candidates can be brought forth to the committee by any GM, with priority being given to those on the waiting list.
