Hey guys! Just thought I'd create a thread for MLB Free Agency Discussion. Everyone probably has a favorite team, your thoughts on their moves or potential moves?

Hope none of you are marlins fans. What they are doing is just kind of sad.

Ozuna just moved for Alcantara+ to St. Louis... I'm hoping Piscotty, O'Neill, or another OF prospect is headed back. Whoever that is gets starting job immediately.

I'm not actually a huge Orioles fan, but being a Maryland native, I like to see the team do well for the otherwise miserable city of Baltimore. That being said, I really want to see the team move Machado, Adam Jones, Zach Britton, Darren O'Day, Mychal Givens, and Brad Brach for near-MLB talent. I think the hauls you would get from those six would pair well with a combination of Bundy/Gausman/Schoop (all extension candidates), as well as the young group of Trey Mancini/Chance Sisco/Austin Hays/Tanner Scott to form quality core for the foreseeable future.
The O's would already have 2 starters, their corner outfield set, second base and catcher taken care of, as well as some other prospects that will fill a rotation spot and bullpen slots, and the extensions + Chris Davis's contract as the only real money on the books. It would be fairly easy to add some legit free agent pieces to that core and be a .500 club as soon as 2019, with contending hopes in 2020 and beyond.

Yea The Orioles (Formerly Rangers East) much like the Rangers seem like they need to pivot. Unfortunately for the Rangers, we have spent years trading all farm assets and the ones we did keep have not played up to expectations (Cough Cough Profar). Rangers seem content with their offense this offseason, and have made very rangersesque moves in signing guys with injury histories to try and recapture some magic (Fister and Minor as a starter). Also, dipping into the international market for a reclamation project in Chris Martin (Tony Barnette before him, and Colby Lewis before him).
Anyways, the rangers seem to be in a no man's land of sorts where their major league team is solidly mediocre, the farm doesn't have a ton to be excited about, and your core players may not be rangers within the next couple of years AND wouldn't gain much on the trade market (Elvis due to be a free agent soon, Beltre is old).
I am interested to see where they go from here because you look at the division, Houston is top dog, Mariners have what should be a decent team on paper, Angels seem to have gotten better with moves they have made, and then there are the A's who will randomly be competitive at some point over the next 5 years before trading everyone away to try again.
I think the Rangers think they can compete with Mazara and Gallo taking steps forward, Odor not being the statistically worst 2nd baseman ever, and getting contributions from Calhoun. I for one don't have as much hope of being competitive, and figure we will finish 4th in the AL west this year.

Now the O's reportedly may not deal Machado because Angelos won't sign off on the deal. God he's a moron.
