Hey guys, It's been a crazy past couple of days. Figured I'd throw out an official update just so everyone knows where we're at. All evidence points to the fact that the Washington Nationals GM, Dave, had been running the Tampa Bay Rays as a new GM named C.C.. There's great similarities in the way that they both posted during the new Rays GM's tenure, a "slip up" that Das pointed out when Dave messaged Das about a veto on a Rays trade saying it was a great trade for him because it would give "me" more money to sign Alex Cobb. When asked to edit threads on both accounts so I could check the Rays and Nationals IP addresses, Dave instead apologized repeatedly, saying it was his cousin. "C.C.", real or not, quickly resigned, and despite my efforts to ask Dave to simply show evidence of different IP addresses, he informed me he intended to leave the league immediately as well. The fallouts from this trade are that the D'backs/Rays trade that was under review has been voided, and we're still in discussions about what to do about the previously approved Nationals/Rays trade, being Dave likely traded with himself. The new GM's will have input on that decision. Speaking of that, Tim will be taking over as the new Nationals GM. We needed someone who could really hit the ground running, and Will and Kyle have vouched that they've been talking to him previously about the league, and that he will no doubt be able to clean up the mess quickly in Washington (not in real life... that's pretty much impossible). Welcome to the league, Tim! We're excited to have you! I'm currently searching for the best possible Rays GM. While we do have a waiting list, the Rays have been without consistent, active ownership really since the league's beginning, and we really need someone dedicated to take over this team to steer them in the right direction. If anyone knows of someone who is interested, who has experience with dynasty leagues preferably, let me know! Again, thanks for everyone's patience through this entire thing. This was a great free agency period, perhaps the best this league has seen yet. I'm looking forward to a terrific 2018 season, one in which the Rockies will certainly beat the Giants in the NLCS... again. Thanks. - Alex

And another update: Troy has agreed to become the fourth GM of the Tampa Bay Rays. We'll get on the normal waiting list after these two changes, but we just needed some stability I think.
Welcome both of you to the league! Feel free to ask any questions, looking forward to having you both!

Thanks for having me in the league everyone. I’m excited to be here. You can call me Tim or Troy. I respond to either.
All jokes aside, I look forward to a completely new format/league and hope that I won’t be too terrible of an owner. I’ve reviewed the team and will most certainly be looking to clean house and rebuild this team in my image.
With that being said, I plan to go slow with my transactions so I will not be entertaining any trade offers until I get a better feel for the league.

BREAKING NEWS: NATIONALS SEND ALL THEIR PLAYERS (PAYING 75% ON EACH) TO THE RAYS FOR A CUP OF WATER, A TOASTER, NACHOS, AND RAYS SEASON TICKETS I unfortunately must veto this deal. While the potential of the Toaster is extremely high, the first 6 tool player.. yes he has a 6th tool, we have ever seen; as long as the undeniable upside and versatility of Cup Of Water, the Nats would be too close to the cap for the comfort of this trade to go through. Sorry Tim, I mean Troy.. I mean, whatever your name is.

Actually, I made a mistake, Alex was higher on the waiting list than Troy and responded to take over the Tampa Bay Rays. Troy will absolutely get the next shot, potentially the Mets? We need to find out where he is at.

They can be had for any meal in the day and an appetizer, and yes, even breakfast. It can have a base of chips, flatbread, waffle fries, you name it. Along with that, you can put Chili, salsa, guac, beans, queso, or whatever you desire on it! With all of that being said, this is an awful trade idea for the Rays and should never be put through.

Tim: Welcome! BTW, I think your comment about taking time to look things over is exactly on point as to what a new owner should do. There is no rush to do something just to do something. Best of luck.

Out of curiosity, which franchise has the most turnover at ownership? Based on my research of the Blue Jays past, I am owner number 6, and this was a decent team until the owner previous to me completely blew it up and set the record for least amount of points scored.
Blue Jays GM's mrpackersfan1 2011-2012 resimmons 2013 santiago 2014 Jnatural33 giving him credit for the first half of 2015, but seems he peaced out pretty quick bluejaysgm 2nd half 2015-2017 speyton 2017 offseason - Present

Looking at this, a couple thoughts: - The 2015 GM group may have saved the league. If anyone remembers, I stepped down as Commissioner in the fall of 2014, picked it back up at the start of 2015. The entire 2015 group includes many of the league's most active owners. - Our turnover has actually been pretty great recently as far as teams go. Just 9 teams have had owners leave since 2015. The problem is the Rays, Nationals and Blue Jays have all had multiple replacements I believe. - Mike, Derrick, Bill, Jared, Austin. You guys are awesome. If anyone's interested, I update the all-time GM records every year ---> baseknock.proboards.com/thread/4273/all-time-gm-records
