We started this a little bit last year, but this seems like a good time to do it. I have set up surveys for each division (2 divisions per link). Please fill out your rating of each GM on a 1-5 star scale. The context being an overall view of the GM. Not necessarily current results or future results but an overall picture. Basically, would you hire this person to take over your team? 1 being no way and 5 being yes, yes, definitely yes. As always the more participation the better. I will be looking for 15 responses before publishing the data to the group. Here are the links to the surveys (each survey has 2 pages one for each division and the survey program only allowed 10 Q’s at a time which is why there are 3.) these shouldn’t take more than 2/3 minutes a piece. www.surveymonkey.com/r/MNVPLQRwww.surveymonkey.com/r/MB9V828www.surveymonkey.com/r/MP5TKJZGood Luck Everyone! P.S. Please be as objective as possible and don’t revenge rate people because you may not like the person.

Alright... The time has come to post the results as we got to 12 responses on all surveys and 14 on one of them. I felt that was a pretty good sample of the leagues thoughts, and here we go to the Data. Notes: It isn't surprising that Das is number 1 as he was almost unanimously rated 5 stars with one person rating him a 4. The other far and away best GM is Will. Both were rated an average of 4.67 or higher and all 12 votes were either 4 or 5 stars. The NL takes the top 4 spots (SF, Hou, Mil, Col), but also is in 5 of the bottom 6 spots (SD, STL, LAD, Cin, Pit). A league of extremes I suppose. No one really knows what to make of the Phillies as they received a vote in every category and were the only team to do so. Washington and Minnesota joined him with teams with both a 5 star and 1 star vote. The highest ranked nonplayoff team is currently defending champs CHW with Seattle right there as well. The lowest ranked playoff team is the Yankees at 18 and is the only below average playoff team. Washington is the only team in the bottom 10 in points currently that is also an above average GM, so current winning definitely helps. Arizona and Seattle are also "Above average" and have been on a rebuild path recently. The Cubs and Royals are exactly Average. Although the Royals distribution was more indicative of average than the cubs who had a higher top vote, but more lower votes as well. Also, I am posting a chart of the top 3 in each division and bottom three in each division averages to get an idea of what each division is facing.
