I already posted this on GroupMe but for the few who aren’t on there, here is what I brought up
End the season after 18 weeks (instead of 19) 1 week Wild Card round 2 week Division series round 2 week Championship series round 2 week World Series
So for example, this season, the wild card round would have started on August 12-18 (1 week earlier than when we actually started the playoffs) divisional round from August 19 - September 1, championship round from September 2 - 15 and World Series from September 16 -29.
In 2020, Major League Baseball will limit the September roster expansion to only 28 players so this should limit some of the issues with having the playoffs go that late into the season (regulars getting rest, etc).

1. I like keeping the same amount of weeks in the regular season. It's fun for historical purposes. 2. I think if every matchup during the regular season is only a week long... then each playoff matchup should also be a week?

I like that our playoff matchups assess the caliber of a team the same way that our regular season does.

I'd be against shortening the regular season. Actually, since we have 2 weeks in the MLB season that are not being used currently, these could be used to add another regular season game, or for more playoffs or a final 2 week World Series (although keeping it at 1 week for consistency purposes makes sense too).

I would have been ok with this had it been what the original format had been. A league that is coming on its 10th year of existence though I would say keep it consistent. That way records stay the same, etc. I do t think this is a bad idea. Just not for this league. I think the playoffs add lots of drama and the fact that anyone can win is a positive rather than a negative in my opinion.
