Hey guys-
Figured we should discuss on how position elig will be decided
In my league we are using these parameters, I just picked them because they seemed appropriate:
To gain SP elig for 2021, pitcher must make 3 starts (down from 5)
To gain RP elig for 2021, pitcher must make 5 relief appearances (down from 8)
To gain position elig for 2021, hitter must make 9 appearances (down from 20)
I believe here we have the same base for a normal year or 5 starts, 8 relief appearances, or 20 fielding appearances because those are the ESPN defaults. If you wanna get mathematical about it, you would multiply each base value by 0.37 since the MLB just played 37% of a season. Then it would look like:
To gain SP elig for 2021, pitcher must make 2 starts (down from 5)
To gain RP elig for 2021, pitcher must make 3 relief appearances (down from 8)
To gain position elig for 2021, hitter must make 7 appearances (down from 20)
We could also stick with what 2020 would have been or just use the base rates despite the shortened season
