Fantrax lists points scored as the first determining tie breaker for teams that finish with the same record in determining playoff positioning. THEN it uses head to head record.
Major League Baseball uses a head to head tie breaker, I’m not sure why we wouldn’t follow suit. Football also uses head to head as the first tie breaker. Then division record, then record against same conference opponents. And it goes on from there.
From MLB.Com
Scenario: Two teams tie for a division championship, second place or Wild Card spot
Head-to-head record will be used to break the tie, and this should be relatively straightforward for first place or second place in the divisions, because the teams will have played each other so often. For example, if the Phillies and Marlins were to tie for second place in the National League East, the Marlins would officially get that standing by virtue of their 7-3 record in the regular-season series. The Phillies would then have to be in Wild Card position to reach the postseason.
I recommend we follow suit and maintain the head to head as the first determining tie breaker.

I'm in favor of swapping the order of the two.

MLB also doesn’t have a way to track points. To me the team that has the most points scored is clearly the better team...

I think teams that are tied should have to go to Alex's house and the GMs can participate in a series of yard games and competitions to determine the victor.

If you're spending more than 5 seconds thinking of an immunity challenge in the midst of a pandemic you're trying way too hard

The only solution for this is.... a POLL!
