SP Yu Darvish, $9.3 (2021)
-- $6.9 in compensation for Darvish for 2021
Astros receive:
OF Allan Cerda, $0.3 (prospect)
2022 4th Round pick (TOR)
Darvish came depressingly short of earning a compensation pick, so I'm trading his now very affordable franchise tag rights over in exchange for some prospect capital while I use my tags elsewhere.

Approve. Darvish is an affordable gamble over the next few years. At the contract price and trade price, it was worth the bet. Hopefully he is not the stinky poo poo he was in the 2nd half last season and more closer to the awesome pitcher he was in 2020/1st half.
