Orioles trade: 1B Pete Alonso 21: 800k (2 of 7) Padres trade: OF Jasson Dominguez $300k (spec) P George Kirby $300k (spec) 2022 1st (SDP) P Ryan Pepiot $300k (spec) P Jackson Rudtledge $300k (spec) Previous trade for value reference: baseknock.proboards.com/thread/9183/orioles-cardinalsAs Denver and I got discussing Arenado, we found there was still some mutual interest in other players we'd kicked around. With Kershaw, Clevinger, and Anderson all having just two years of control left, I have a fast-approaching need to find some long-term rotation help, and next to nothing in the system coming up. Been looking for some deals that allow for a relatively quick rebuild, and I add a few pieces in this deal that should be in the fold in the not too distant future. Denver obviously adds another cornerstone with long-term control and mitigates some of the prospect risk as he looks to start moving out of a deep rebuild.

I accpet. I have dumped out a lot of my MiLB today but I think I put my team in a lot better position than it has been in the past. I have 1 final trade I am rolling out the money on at the moment but I set my team up for the long haul.
I get Alonso who I can control for multiple seasons. Dominguez is years away, Pepiot has struggled, Rutledge just isn't that great. Moving these guys together hurts but I think with the cap I have coming open in the near future and the control of players on my roster I think Padres fans are excited.

Is San Diego ready for this? Because these are not buy-lows. Baltimore traded that package for Pete coming off his 50+ homer season. That looks a little big like a flash in the pan now, even if he’s still good.
I feel like this is a trade you make after 8-9 wins coming out of a rebuild, not 2.
Approve, I really like the return for Baltimore.
