I've put forth three nominations for each GM of the Year for each league. Please vote on the poll for who you want to win the 2022 BKDB GM of the Year! You can select one of each (AL and NL) in the poll.
Here are your past couple year's of award winners for reference... NL 2021: Tim Corey (Nationals) AL 2021: Thomas Cuda (Guardians) NL 2019: Max Lipkins (Pirates) AL 2019: Austin Overmann (Twins)
......
American League Nominees: 1. Bill (Royals) - 7 win improvement (5 wins in '21 to 12 wins in '22) - lost in Wild Card Round 2. Stephen (Blue Jays) - 3 win improvement (14 wins in '21 to 17 wins in '22) - lost in ALDS 3. Will (Astors) - 4 win improvement (14 wins in '21 to 18 wins in '22) - lost in ALDS
National League Nominees: 1. Denver (Padres) - 11 win improvement (2 wins in '21 to 13 wins in '22) - lost in NLDS 2. Kyle (D'backs) - 5 win improvement (8 wins in '21 to 13 wins in '22) - lost in Wild Card Round 3. Nik (Cardinals) - 4 win improvement (13 wins in '21 to 17 wins in '22) - lost in World Series
Voting will remain open until Sunday, October 2.

This is too much of a "Did you win more than last year?" award. Really knocks the teams that were already good and got better. I mean no offense to Bill, but my man ended up 14th in points. In fact, Cleveland, Toronto, Texas, and New York all increased their points by more than KC. If you ask me, it is much harder to add points to a good team too. So that is why if I am not gonna get any love in this discussion, which I think I should have, then I think we should all support Astros GM (Will) for AL GM of the year. Has your 4 added wins this year and added 1,119.58 to an already good team. That is impressive and actually more than the runaway NL GM of the year, St. Louis. baseknock.proboards.com/thread/10735/2021-2022-season-comparisons

We actually won our division this time and added a bunch of points! I (actually) voted KC because he a) had a nice turnaround season, b) made the playoffs over DET who came in to the season as a division contender, and c) beat his projected record to get in. I think Bill did a nice job making moves to make sure he got into the playoffs once he saw he had a chance. Just my thoughts on it. Doesn’t take anything away from Will and HOU, just a nice turnaround year!
