I accept. I've been making a concerted effort to build up depth in trades recently. I want my next winning team to be a mix of quality and quantity. But I also think that, with a goal of contending from 2025 and beyond, there is no better asset to consolidate for than Andrew Painter. I think at any given time you can count on one hand the number of prospect pitchers with the ability to be legit top 15 SPs for several years, and Painter is one of them. I feel I'm giving up a ton of talent here, especially in Merrill who looks like a points league specialist and Williams who is breaking out in a major way at just age 20 this year. But I firmly believe in paying up for elite talent, and there is no more elite talent at prospect SP right now than Andrew Painter. Good luck Nik

Max really wanted Painter. I don’t think there is a more sure fire pitching prospect than Painter. That said, TINSTAAPP and he’s already dealing with a UCL injury. Max offered me a package I couldn’t say no to. These guys will add depth to a roster that desperately needs it. I’m excited about the future of the cardinals roster. Even if only half these guys are what they are hyped up to be, things are bright in STL.
