Padres accept. Playing for Ray to return to form once he returns from IR and net me something at next years deadline. Lawler is the 11th rated prospect and the 3rd rated SS, so he is going to lockdown a spot in my lineup going forward. Hoping Schobel is able to make the jump at some point next season, and Taylor gives me a pitching prospect I'm excited about. I grab a 1st and 4th on top of it to continue to prepare for next seasons draft.

Reds Accept. I believe the window to win is now, and acquiring impact players that fill multiple offensive holes was the goal in this trade headlined by Arenado. It's never fun giving up a top prospect, but having Bobby Witt blocking Lawlar, seemed like the right play to make this move. In addition, we clear cap by trading an injured pitcher.
