Cap compliance has obviously come up a lot lately, and one thought I had was that in a league where trades need to be voted on, it seems like you should be able to have a way to make cap-compliance cuts/etc. after knowing a trade has gone through, otherwise you may have just cut a guy for no reason (if a trade gets vetoed).
I want to propose that as part of posting trades, a team needing to make cap cuts can post pending cuts below the trade details. Essentially, if a trade is approved, the cuts are executed as part of processing that trade. If a trade is not approved, the cuts aren't executed.
This ensures teams are never cutting a player just to make a trade that won't go through, while also not creating an arbitrary "grace period" where we let a team be over the cap.

Just to be clear - this doesn't help with going over cap space on your draft picks. I don't see any obstacles with processing cuts as part of the trade agreement though.

Yep, the draft discourse was actually what prompted this specific thinking - trades aren’t a definite transaction until they’re approved, but no one can really “veto” a draft pick (it’s guaranteed - even if you pick a taken player, you can repick “veto-free”).

Do we even need to vote on it? Are there any issues people have with this?
