I shopped Spiers at a higher ask earlier this season, but ultimately found a package where I got a nice value for him with a number of picks and a good SP prospect in Melton. I include Seth Brown who was an in season FA a few weeks ago who has found his way back into regular playing time for the A's and has been swinging a hot bat of late. I like the return of multiple picks and a good SP prospect considering Spiers was a 10th round pick this year and Brown was a cheap FA.
