Hey everyone,
I'm happy to announce that we have transferred all payroll and roster information to a new system that is powered by Google Docs. A master roster will ensure accuracy and simplicity. In addition, the new system has several features that will make it easier for league members to trade, keep track of salaries, etc. Here's a brief list of these features:
(1) The google spreadsheet is searchable. You can search by hitting 'Ctlr + F', checking the box that says "search all sheets". Alternatively, you can click the 'Edit' menu at the top of the page, click 'Find and replace'. Again, make sure you check off the "search all sheets" box.
(2) Payroll is calculated automatically via the spreadsheet. So when you make a trade, sign a FA, or release a player, we will paste the player onto the correct portion of your spreadsheet and the payroll will be automatically adjusted.
(3) All rosters will are now standardized, making it easier to browse through a teams MLB team as well as his farm system for the players you're interested in.
Without further ado, here is the link to the rosters:
docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?authkey=CPiSrN8O&key=0AmNHZj1kh3cfdHhWN3V4dXktaUpqSHlHVVZCZmlwOEE&hl=en_US&authkey=CPiSrN8O#gid=0
I suggest all owners save this link into favorites as this will be the ONLY official rosters we keep in this league. All rosters kept on team pages are now unofficial. I encourage you all to keep them updated and provide extra information about your players and prospects there, but when discussing trades, posting salaries, etc. you must use information from the Master Roster and not the team roster to ensure accuracy.
Most importantly, all teams should review their team's page to ensure that information was transferred correctly. This is a requirement! We will allow teams 2 weeks to report back about missing players, etc... which is a pretty generous time frame. If you report after this time, you risk losing your players.
If you have questions about how to use the spreadsheets or have any general comments, you can reply in this thread.
If you wish to report a mistake on your page or another team's page, please PM me (redsgm) to have the problem corrected.
Sincerely,
Reds GM - Slava
