The Houston Astros agree to trade 3B Brent Morel and SP Scott Baker to the Milwauke Brewers for 1B Brandon Allen and prospects Taylor Green, Domingo Santana, and Drew Hutchinson.
Salaries are:
Astros - Scott Baker - 12: $6.5Mil, Brent Morel: 12: $ .4M
Brewers - Brandon Allen - 12: $.4M, Prospects: $.3M each
I accept because both Baker and Morel are expendable for me because I have depth at both positions. In Brandon Allen, I get insurance in case Justin Morneua doesn't come back stron, and for Baker, I get three solid prospects, one of which is one of my favorites, Domingo Santana!
