This makes no sense to me. Not only is he trading away a cost controlled younger 1st Basemen, for an older 1B who is more costly, and up there in the age. Throw in the two picks he is giving away? I am sorry guys.

VETO.
Morse may be a good 1B, but Konerko is a top-10 1B. I know he isnt young anymore, but he will still be productive with about 25-35 HRs per year and about 75-90 RBI per year he has left on his contract. Konerko is worth more, though his age.

Morse and Konerko were basically the same exact player last year.
Konerko: 31hrs 105RIB .300 .388 .906
Morse: 31hrs 95RBI .303 .360 .910
neither is young so it doesn't really matter. Konerko only has 2 more years left but...
1st and 3rd picks >> 4th by a pretty big margin.
Therefore I Veto

Approve.
Morse had a nice year last year, but it was his first year as full time player. Konerko has been producing for many years so I agree with Peter's analysis, but I would much rather have Konerko if I were going for it next year. The picks may skew the trade towards the Rox but not enough to veto. IMHO
