The Houston Astros agree to trade SP Juan Nicasio, SP Dallas Keuchel, 2B Matt Downs, and Prospect Julio Rodriguez to the Dodgers in exchange for SP Brett Cecil and Franciso Liriano.

Salaries:

Dodgers - Brett Cecil - $.4M, Franciso Liriano - 12-14, $.5M

Astros - Juan Nicasio - $.4M, Matt Downs - $.4M, Dallas Keuchel - $.3M, Julio Rodriguez - $.3M

I accept.

With the playoffs looming, I was looking to add to a weakened pitching staff. In doing so I acquire 2 guys currently not at their bests, but who I believe will turn it around. I give up 2 SP in Dallas Keuchel and Juan Nicasio as I can't wait for them this season, a Util in Downs, and a promising prospect in Rodriguez.

Accept! This is more than i could have gotten if i asked anyone. Julio Rodriguez is a future Phils starter, as a Phils fan, i know about him and rate him quite high. Keuchel and Nicasio are 2 great young arms to add to my rebuilding and SP staff. Downs is a utility guy i can start at times if need be.
