Pirates TRADE: Zach Lee LAD RHP, $300K (Spec), James Paxton SEA LHP, $300K (Spec), and $4M in 2013 on Player TBA White Sox TRADE: 2013 FYPD 1.02 (CHW)
I accept! I net the 2nd pick here. Nabbing Gray, Bryant, Frazier or any other top flight guy this draft offers. Lee is pitching well but is still a very long term project and Paxton is struggling in AAA and is 24 years old already. Still a ripe age but I want younger guys with higher upside. Pleasure dealing Clayton and good luck!

I accept. I would rather yield two good prospects to freshen up my dry farm system and get cash than get only one spec. I am going to miss having this pick but oh well

I may be wrong but I don't think you can trade money in a trade unless your paying 75% or less of a players contract involved in the trade.

Therefore this trade is cancelled. It will have to be reworked as to not include cash, but rather salary compensation if you both wish to still have a monetary aspect involved.

When you say salary compensation, do you mean on a player involved in the trade? Or can I pay one of the players currently on the White Sox's roster? Max

Has to be on a player involved in the trade. Per the rules.

Kyle is correct.
By salary compensation I meant that the only way for money to to be involved in a trade is if one of the teams agrees to pay some of the salary of a player that they are trading away. You can pay up to 75% of any player that your trading aways salary. You can offer to pay a lesser percentage if you wish, but no more then 75%. This salary compensation can be for just this year, or for multiple future years depending on the length of said players contract.
