Pirates TRADE: -- Amateur Pick 1.01 (PIT) -- Amateur Pick 3.01 (PIT) -- Amateur Pick 4.01 (PIT)
Mets TRADE: -- Jose Abreu CWS 1B, $35M (2015) -- $26.25M in 2014 on Abreu -- $26.25M in 2015 on Abreu
I accept. It's a big risk, I believe. Rodon and Aiken are both very high potential players, and the former has a high floor to go with it. However, Abreu has been playing out of his mind and I would love to transition to a competitive phase next year. So, this is the best way for me to go. I can slap that franchise tag on Abreu no problem when his deal is up after next year, and he is very cheap for the next two years now at only $8.75M with the payment. Good dealing Mike, and good luck!

Mets accept. While i hate losing Abreu, i get the number one draft pick. In the grand scheme of things, this trade should help me immensely

Okay... So the Pirates already traded his fourth rounder to the Dodgers. Can you just take his fifth round pick instead? Or are we going to have to rework this?
