Rockies accept:

I'm not going to be competing for a championship this season, or at least I don't plan on making a push for it. This trade greatly helps me restock with some young talent. Domingo has been a little shaky, but has potential to be a big power hitter. McCann could be the catcher of the future in Detroit, and with no pressure for me to win this season, it free up the possibility of trading Wilson Ramos. I also grab Scheppers, who's going to be a great set up guy in Texas. Gillaspie is another power hitter, who has a little potential. And then I grab a draft pick. Thankfully, the cap covering on goes through this season.

Agreed. I get a big upgrade at 1B but only on a 1 year deal. I give up a good amount of young close to the majors talent. Plus a high AM pick.
