After the moves other teams have made and Darvish going down, I don't think my squad has a realistic shot at the playoffs, and I'm focused on 2016+. Covering Gomez this year and next is tough, but it doesn't wreck my cap room next year, and for seven years of cost-controlled Joc, I think it's worth it. I also add a good young pitcher in yr 3 of his deal (Salazar) and a spec (Selman). Peacock, Slowey, and Gomez are lottery tickets with high salaries, but they come off the books after this year.
Nice dealing Kyle and good luck in the NL ... I know this gums up the NL rankings, but you'll figure out a way to survive.
PS. These pitchers on 1 yr deals are OTB. I will reimburse 75% of salary. Looking for players early in their deals or prospects:
