Red Sox get:
Blake Swihart, 300k (spec) Trea Turner, 300k (spec) Nolan Gannon, 300k (spec) Gordon Beckham, ($6.4m)
Padres get:
Ian Kennedy, ($8.0m) ($8.9m) Martin Prado, ($5.0m) ($5.0m) ($5.0m) Denard Span, ($9.0m) Eddie Butler, 300k (spec) Tim Anderson, 300k (spec) 75% coverage on Kennedy, Span and Prado for 2015 only.
I accept. For anyone who checked in on Swihart knows that I didn't want to trade him. With that said, no ones ever untradeable in my opinion. This deal gives me some opportunity for this year and next and doesn't decimate my future. It is hard to lose a cornerstone like Swihart though (especially for a Red Sox fan). Good luck to your rebuilding process Red Sox!

I agree. Trying to rebuild starting with this tough to fill positions. I got a stud SS in Correa, hopefully a stud 2b/3b in Moncado, and here's my stud catcher. Turner is also a very promising ss prospect.

Veto. Sorry but I'm unsure how trading 3 specs where one is top 50 gets you 3 starters with compensation and 2 top 50 specs.

I'm' trying to get away from vetos... but I"ll throw one out there this time. Take out the top 50 prospects you're getting back and it's logical.

Veto for much the same logic as above

Approve, let's be reasonable here. Kennedy only has 2 more years of control, Span is still injured (and Michael Taylor is the future of CF for that team), and Butler and Anderson are debatable top 50 depending on where you look (especially Anderson). Swihart is the #1 prospect at a very hard position to find in all of the minors. And Trea Turner is a very solid SS prospect. Is it the most fair deal in the world? I don't believe so. But prospects, top ones that'll be in the bigs this year especially, are currency in a league like this. A premium must be paid.

Butler's in the top 50 of every list I look at... Anderson, not always top 50, but always top 75 or at the worst top 100.

You said it Max. Top prospects that are going to play this season are at a premium. Currently Eddie Butler is playing and will continue to play all season. So not seeing how this adds up at all.

I see him as a lower part of the top 100. He also happens to play in a park where a SP hasn't truly succeeded since some guy named Ubaldo had a really good half a season about 5 years ago. There is a difference, a fine line, between young talent and worthy young talent. I believe Swihart to absolutely be worthy whereas, despite the fact that Butler is playing, I'm not sure he is exactly "worthy", so to speak.

Yeah I've got to veto this. I'll put the nail in the coffin. I think Butler is close to Turner, and I don't see Swihart adding up to the rest of those players.
