This trade is cancelled. Brewers are $4.45m over the cap. Apologies on my part, a code hadn't been updated in the cash adjustment section of the Brewers spreadsheet. I updated it and it correctly his actual salary cap leaving him with a shortage of money. There will be no penalty for Brewers because this is mostly my fault... and the Google Docs fault because they don't always update automatically.
Anyways, I've changed the code, and I would ask you, Milwaukee, to get under the cap as soon as you can. I won't rush it though as it was not your fault. I just ask that it get done and you don't abuse the cap situation.

Isn't this a penalty for the Brewers as he didn't know he was over? Also this trade saves him cap anyways. He's not taking on salary.

I agree with Jeff. Plus, he just worked out another trade to clear the extra cap that he wasn't aware of before. So I feel like this trade should still go thru.

I think what Jeff was saying was by not allowing the deal to go through....it was acting as a penalty for the Brewers when it wasn't his fault.
