If you look at the schedule the odds are that you make the playoffs........

After looking at the standings and remaining schedule. There is a very good chance the Yanks make the playoffs so not sure if this should be approved or not unless Jerry still wants to go through with it.

Can someone tell me how the Yankees benefits at all from this trade? Two closers when he's in the midst of a playoff race for two lesser relievers who are NOT closers. One is decent holds guy and one isn't even that good?
I'd like to hear a further Yankees explanation if possible?

I probably do not benefit in the trade, I thought I was out of the race and was offered 2 relievers with contracts through 2016. If I do have a chance to get in the playoffs this year I would not have traded my closers. Since this is my first year it looked to me as if I missed them.

I think you might be a good bet for the playoffs Jerry, considering you've got a W this week and probably next week, and Mike has a very tough match-up versus Noah coming up.
I don't want to throw out a veto, especially since I am in contention in the AL and have interests too intertwined with how things are shaping up, but I don't know about this deal. I feel that the choice between a shot at the playoffs or holding on to two decent, but certainly replaceable middle relievers, is an easy one to make!

Based on the concerns listed above, which are valid I wish to cancel this trade. This is the first cancel I've done in my 2 years experience so I apologize to Noah and thank the ones that gave their approval and thoughts.

If you look at trade rules, once trade is posted and both teams confirm, a team cannot back out. That being said, i agree with Col explanation, Yanks have no benefit from this trade. Traded down with both players. Veto

I agree with what has been said. I don't see any benefit for the Yanks. I think this trade should be vetoed.

Also on the Veto side, makes no sense for a team with a chance

It was real early this morning when I reread the rules, just let me know what the decision is.

The rules work out in favor of the deal going through (3-1 vote after 48 hours, no backing out), although I think it is safe to say that the deal was made with incorrect information. It seems to have been an honest mistake, and I am alright with the deal being cancelled if that's what Jerry wants. I had a pretty strong deadline anyway, and it isn't the end of the world either way for me. I would ask that Alex make an exception in this case.
My main concern is that this could create a precedent with incorrect information leading to backing out. I actually made a deal with Alex at the beginning of the season for Rafael Soriano, without realizing that he had yet to sign with a team for the 2015 season. I never actually received an offer to cancel the trade when I told Alex that I didn't realize that.
Anyway, I think that in this situation that it would be the right thing to do to cancel the deal, although we should set up a rule for this in the future.

I'd appreciate if you didn't make trades and add players to your ESPN roster before deals become official, Noah.
This deal is cancelled.
