OF Alex Gordon: 16: $15M, 17: $15M (Final two years of franchise tag)
Mariners trade:
INF Eduardo Escobar - 16: $6.5M (A - 5 of 7)
RP Jared Hughes - 16: $1.5M, 17: $1.5M, 18: $1.5M club option
OF Michael Martinez - 16: $300k, 17: $300k club option
SP/RP Paul Clemens - 16: $800k (2 of 7)
OF J.B. Shuck - 16: $2.1M (A - 4 of 7)
With all the arbitration raises coming next year, as well as Stanton getting tagged, I really needed to clear some cap space. Gordon's a great player, but not a luxury I can afford right now. Mariners get a good everyday outfielder, I add some more affordable depth in return. Mariners to confirm.
