Nationals Trade:
Jason Kipnis (16 10.3M;17 11.4M) B 6 of 7 Henderson Alvarez (16-18 12M)
to White Sox for Dexter Fowler (16 9M & 17 option 9M) Trevor Bauer 3 of 7 (.8M)
Nationals accept, hate to trade Jason Kipnis (one of my favorites) but have some depth at 2B and can use the OF position and the depth in the rotation. Also a big boost picking up some extra salary thanks for the trade Sox and best of luck

Whitesox Accept.
Again still new, so i hope im not undervaluing Bauer. I have literally no SS or 2nd baseman so picking one up, espeicially with the caliber of Kipnis is big for me. I still have Kim, Kepler, Polanco, and Buxton in the OF Fowler was expendable. Obviously Henerson is still hurt, but it wasn't that long ago he was an all-star. Again i also have a lot of young SP coming up soon.

Totally my fault, but will say that Dbacks just let me know I can't resign Kipnis. I had no idea and when going through rules I thought I could franchise or RFA tag. Anyways don't want you to punish Nats for my stupidity but I wouldn't have done this if I had known.

Veto. A lot to give up for a b arb guy entering his last season. Plus, new guy didn't know.

Is anybody able to explain to me why there is no chance he would be able to be resigned? I thought you could RFA or franchise any player

Copy/paste from the constitution below (see bold for distinction).
Option B arbitration allows the owner to guarantee a 4-year contract after pre-arbitration is over (years 1-3). In exchange for the ability to grant a subsidized 4-year contract, your team must release the player at the end of the contract.

Is anybody able to explain to me why there is no chance he would be able to be resigned? I thought you could RFA or franchise any player Based on our league rules you have 2 options when a player goes to arbitration his first season. You can A arb him which means that each year his salary is based on his previous year's performance. The percentage each season goes up. B arb is essentially a team buying out a players arb years but the result is that they become an UFA once the b arb deal is over.
