With the unfortunate news that Colby Rasmus is gone for the season and possibly retiring for good, it was time to find an owner willing to take the contract off my hands. It took some convincing, but Phil wanted multiple prospects back to make it work. The extra $3.6M that I get by not outright cutting Rasmus will be valuable both this year and next year.
