Giants accept.  This the first of two blockbusters that the Giants are about to make, yolo, that's the thing, right?  I get Stanton at $8.75M for the next 3 years which is much more manageable and it also makes the Giant outfield, well Giant.  I'm giving up what I'm considered to be a good package.  Compared to what Stanton went for earlier this season and what Blackmon went for, the White Sox are getting a fantastic package.

Veto. Yes it is a long list of prospects, but that's about it. The Giants are getting $78.75M in cash over 3 years to play for the 6th best hitter of the season and the hottest hitter in the last month. There needs to be Top Level Talent (capital letters) being returned for this hitter AND his contract. I don't think a grab bag of mid-level prospects holds a candle to the Stanton side of this trade. If the contract was only being covered in 17 it might be on the right side of fair but this is league altering.

Edit: The White Sox also did not defend their reasoning for the trade at all which is especially essential here. And the Blackmon trade was for 1 less season and no future contract coverage which I still assert is the biggest dealbreaker here.

I'm going to be honest during discussion, I didn't realize that I was going to be paying for 3 years completely my fault as I didn't see it and Giants posted. I didn't want to back out because of my fault of mis reading.

But I do like the prospects I get a lot more than the ones I gave for Stanton.

I gave up Kowart and 3 prospects only 1 was in top 100 and was #82 and that was passed 

In this deal i get 3 top 100 prospects David PAulino who was recently in the top 100, and 3 other decent prospects.

Veto. Agree with Will. The only justification for the lack of elite prospects in this deal would be the burden of taking on Stanton's salary and the White Sox are paying that down too.

veto, i agree with Will and Bill the biggest reason i was ok with the White Sox getting Stanton for what they gave was they got stuck with his massive salary
