Giants accept.  Principles.  I wanted to roster Bruce Maxwell and didn't want to negotiate so I offered something that was substantial, Koda Glover and his 96mph video game slider.  With Maxwell, I care little about his on the field production, what I appreciate is his presence of mind to use his platform to spread a message that is important to him.  It seems unlikely he becomes more than a backup catcher and could become an after thought in a couple of days, for my sake I hope he turns into a bonafide superstar, but for this weekend he is being compared to the likes of Muhammed Ali, Jackie Robinson and Martin Luther King Jr, for me that is more than worth the roster spot.  Thank you Thomas for being willing to accept my offer to make this trade, and thank you to rest of you for the fun season.  October 10th can't get here fast enough (start of AFL, for those of you wondering).

While I appreciate what Maxwell did, I can’t pass up the opportunity to add a pitcher with as much natural talent as Glover. It hurts to lose Maxwell, but I have a couple of other catchers and I will be able to cope with the trade to add Glover.
