I have a serious need in the outfield, and with the way FA contracts go, have no interest in commiting $25-30+-million to multiple players to fill out the rest of the outfield. Herrera adds a nice mix of speed and pop to my already well-rounded lineup, and is controllable for four seasons. Martin adds another interesting outfielder into my minor-league mix. With Realmuto now in the fold, Sisco became expendable.
Diamondbacks get a Top 100 prospect in Sisco, who could play as soon as Opening Day, as well as an interesting infielder in Cowart.
