Better start now... Alex Cobb is now up for silent bidding ($14M threshold). Teams have 72 hours to submit bids to the MLBPA account. Silent bids close at 1/12 12:45 p.m. ET Rockies GM (Alex)

D'backs GM (Kyle), Astros GM (Will), Correct Kyle, sorry I missed it. Remember, Dodgers will win Cobb if no other bids are received due to the new rule. Thanks for kicking it off, Will.

No bids were received for Alex Cobb. Consequently, Dodgers GM (Scott) wins the bid at 2 years @ $15m with an option. The clock will not start for the Rays to decide whether or not to match... as we're currently figuring out that situation. Appreciate the patience on your end, Scott.

Dodgers GM (Scott) win the bid with a contract of 1 year @ $17.3m with an option. The new Rays GM will have time to decide whether or not to match this offer... if this is really prolonged, we'll just decline it, being they currently don't have the cap space. Remember, however, new owners are allowed a free drop. Thanks for the patience, Scott.
