Lets try this again...
Cardinals are trading:
Zack Grienke - $17.30 in 2020 and $17.30 in 2021 - covering 75% in 2020 only.
Rockies are trading:
Hunter Bishop - Spec
Jeisson Rosario - Spec
2020 Amateur draft pick 2.30 Cody Allen - $7.5 in 2019 - FA 2020
Jedd Gyorko - $5.9 in 2019 - FA 2020
Josh Taylor - $4.5 in 2019 - $4.5 Option in 2020
Allen, Gyorko, and Taylor are to make the salary cap work for 2019.

Rockies confirm again. I think this is a great add to my rotation for next season with Greinke now in Houston full time. Good talks, Nik.

Approve, I still don't like this trade for the Cardinals but I think adding the pick helped just enough to keep this out of veto territory for me.

Veto. This is still way off for me. Just yesterday, Nik wanted 2 top 50 specs from me in Ian Anderson and Trevor Larnach to acquire Greinke. Now he is settling for 2 specs that are outside of the top 100 and a late 2nd round pick that will return maybe a 40 FV spec. Not to mention the 2020 cap coverage. That is not enough of a price to pay for the number 6 ranked SP from 2019.

The fact that you think Hunter Bishop is outside of the top 100 is insane. What ranking list is that?

Well, I've never claimed to be a sane person. The hit tool is genuinely concerning to me and he's an older prospect that didn't show particularly well in Low A or Rookie Ball. He's not in FG top 100. Yes, I know they aren't measuring their fantasy contributions but I believe in their evaluations and success rates of players more so in the earlier stages of player development than I do in the fantasy sites rankings.

He’s ranked #44 on my favorite fantasy only prospect list, which means more than a real life list. Sorry, I thought Bishop not being too 100 was insane, not you

Veto, the big thing for me involved with this trade is that we're dealing with a new owner. Typically we look more closely at trades involving new owners since they're just getting use to what this league is about and what the value of different things is. This deal isn't much different than the one previously that got vetoed. Bishop is a slightly better regarded spec than Beer and adding a 2nd makes it a better trade than the vetoed one before but the value hasn't changed much. This is still a top 10 SP with two years of below market cap value being moved for 2 45 FV specs and now a late 2nd round pick. On top of that the Cards are covering in 2020 cap before Free Agency even starts. That's a lot of cap that doesn't seem have any compensation for it. Cardinals GM (Nik), you should be getting more if you're trading Greinke and covering that much cap.

I see that there is quite a bit of debate over this deal and some arguing that I should be getting more in return. However, when I press others to pay more they aren't willing to pay (see Tim's comment above). Trust me, I will gladly take more in this trade, but is the market value being set by those vetoing inline with what GM's are actually willing to pay?

I haven't received a message about a Greinke trade? So you haven't really shopped him to know the market value.

Approve. I think the Cardinals have proven with their other trades that they know what they are doing. Grienke is old and could go downhill at anytime. May not happen, but is definitely in the range of outcomes here.

I’m going to approve for the exact same reason as Stephen. Greinke as he has maintained being great, is going to be 36 and can fall off at anytime. While I still like it for COL, it’s not vetoable for me

Veto. Pitching wins championships and the ROI for this deal is not enough in my eyes with where I view the prospects in this overall package. If it was an owner who’d been here longer I’d maybe be more apt to approve, but I think this deserves a look as it is a new owner and I don’t view the return to be enough.

I'm gonna veto. I'd say without salary coverage it's one of those "I don't like it, but I guess...." deals, but the coverage puts it in no-go territory for me. 13M is the equivalent of sending another player or prospect back, so that's where my issue is. Bishop's an inconsistent commodity right now, and in the past, there's been a precedent of "yeah, he may become something more valuable, but he's not there right now" being a reason guys aren't valuable enough in trades, so I think it's only reasonable that precedent is continued. This probably sounds angry and I'm not haha, just explaining reasoning.
